Cunha completes wild Man Utd comeback win over Roma from two down

Manchester United staged an astonishing late revival to overturn Roma 3-2 at Old Trafford, securing their first victory in 10 matches. The hosts trailed by two goals after 30 minutes, with Matias Soule and a Donyell Malen penalty giving Roma the early advantage.

But Matheus Cunha’s heroics—including a penalty, a leveller, and the winner—turned the game on its head, while Bruno Fernandes added another late strike after a retake. Despite Roma’s dominance in Serie A, United’s resilience saw them hold on for a dramatic comeback, with Carrick leaving the pitch to applause after presiding over a Champions League win.

Cunha was sent off late for a foul, but his two goals and a crucial penalty save sealed the victory for a stunned Old Trafford crowd.
