CSK appoint Zaheer Khan as head coach after Stephen Fleming's exit

Chennai Super Kings have brought in former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan to lead the team as head coach. He takes over the role following the departure of Stephen Fleming, whose tenure lasted from 2009 until 2026 and concluded after the franchise missed the play-offs for three consecutive seasons.

During his illustrious playing career, Zaheer represented India across 92 Test matches, 200 One Day Internationals, and 17 Twenty20 Internationals, claiming 610 total international wickets and finishing as the top wicket-taker for India during their 2011 ODI World Cup victory. In the Indian Premier League, he accumulated 102 wickets across 100 appearances before transitioning into coaching and mentoring roles with several different franchises following his retirement as a player in 2017.
