Classy Hammarby end Rangers' Europa Cup hopes

Rangers bowed out of the Europa Cup after suffering a three-goal defeat against Hammarby at Broadwood Stadium, culminating in a five-goal aggregate elimination. Mathilde Janzen provided the assist for Anna Walter to open the scoring in the thirteenth minute.

Laura Berry attempted to reply for the hosts, testing Cajsa Andersson on either side of halftime, while Ida Hermannsdottir and Elin Sorum missed opportunities before the interval. Hermannsdottir extended the advantage shortly before the hour mark, and sixteen-year-old Fanny Peterson sealed the outcome by converting following a parried attempt by Svea Rehnberg.
