Chile and Colombia medal in South American Games men’s volleyball with Empowerment

Chile claimed the men's volleyball tournament crown at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games in Argentina following an undefeated run, capped by a 3-1 victory over the host nation in the final. Guided by mentor Nicolas Ippoliter through FIVB Volleyball Empowerment backing, the champions dropped just a single set across four matches.

Colombia secured the bronze medal by sweeping Peru in straight sets during the third-place playoff, rebounding from a semifinal defeat against the eventual gold medalists. The Colombian squad operates under the direction of mentor Paolo Montagnani, benefiting from substantial financial allocations for coaching and gear.
