The Chicago Cubs secured two Rawlings Gold Glove honors this season, with Pete Crow-Armstrong earning his second consecutive award in center field and Alex Bregman picking up his second career trophy at third base. Bregman is the first player at his position for the franchise to receive this defensive recognition since Ron Santo in 1968.
Additionally, Cubs minor league prospect Josiah Hartshorn was recognized as the premier defensive first baseman across the minor leagues. While Crow-Armstrong and Bregman triumphed over finalists including Andy Pages, Michael Harris, Max Muncy, and Javier Sanoja, other Cubs players fell short in their respective categories.
Ian Happ, Seiya Suzuki, and Dansby Swanson were finalists but were surpassed by Jackson Chourio, Corbin Carroll, and Geraldo Perdomo, respectively. Fans can now participate in voting for the Platinum Glove award.
