UFC lightweight Chase Hooper will return to action at UFC 335 on December 12 in Las Vegas, facing off against Chris Padilla in a highly anticipated matchup at T-Mobile Arena. The bout marks Hooper’s first fight since a rear-naked choke victory over Mitch Ramirez earlier this year, following a pair of knockout losses to Alexander Hernandez and Lance Gibson Jr.
Hooper, who has fought in the UFC since 2019, is currently unranked but aims to secure a spot in the top 15 of the lightweight division by 2027 after a five-fight winning streak that included victories over veterans Jim Miller and Clay Guida.
Padilla, an underrated veteran with a 4-0 UFC record, brings a wealth of regional experience to the fight, having won multiple titles before joining the promotion in 2024. The 31-year-old has already made an impact in the UFC, finishing James Llontop and Rongzhu in his first two fights and defeating MarQuel Mederos earlier this year.
Both fighters are looking to build momentum as they push for higher rankings in the coming year.
