Carlos Alcaraz takes first title since February with victory in Japan Open final

Carlos Alcaraz secured his first individual trophy since February by overcoming Jiri Lehecka in straight sets at the Japan Open. After navigating a wobbly beginning, the Spanish competitor prevailed 7-6, 6-4 to claim consecutive titles in the Japanese capital during only his third outing back from an extended wrist absence.

In separate news, Jannik Sinner will miss all remaining matches of the season due to a knee injury.
