Cardiff's Bielik banned over Portsmouth incident

Cardiff City defender Krystian Bielik has been suspended for two Championship matches following an incident with Portsmouth supporters during his team’s 2–0 loss at the Fratton Park on September 5. The Football Association imposed the ban and a £10,000 fine after Bielik admitted misconduct, stemming from an altercation in the 71st minute.

Hampshire Police concluded their investigation without further action, though Bielik later issued an apology as part of the resolution. The Poland international will miss Cardiff’s upcoming fixtures against Blackburn Rovers and a home clash with Watford, with the sanctions confirmed by an independent FA Regulatory Commission.

Bielik’s case follows a hearing where he accepted the charges against him, though the full reasoning behind the decision has yet to be published.
