The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered Thursday Night Football practice with a key injury update, as kicker Chase McLaughlin missed Tuesday’s session due to a right groin/hip issue. His availability remains uncertain ahead of the matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, particularly given the team’s abbreviated preparation week.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield continues to sit out with a right thumb injury, while safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and cornerback Benjamin Morrison are also out, with Winfield expected to miss two to four weeks following a rib fracture suffered against Green Bay.
Linebacker Josiah Trotter, however, showed progress, moving from limited participation Monday to full practice Tuesday despite his knee injury. On the Cowboys’ side, no changes were reported among their non-participants, including cornerback Cobie Durant, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, and tackle Drew Shelton, all of whom remain sidelined by separate injuries.
Guard Tyler Smith was again limited due to a thumb issue, while outside linebacker Anthony Nelson was added to Tampa Bay’s report with an illness, practicing only in a limited capacity.
