Edge rusher Boye Mafe has proven to be an exceptional acquisition for the Cincinnati defense following his arrival on a three-year, sixty-million-dollar contract this March. Through the first five games of the season, Mafe has accumulated three sacks, five tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass defensed.
Following a recent victory over Miami, teammate BJ Hill praised the defender's immense energy and versatile disruption on the field. Head coach Zac Taylor noted that Mafe has been completely committed to stopping the run, dropping into coverage, and rushing from multiple alignments.
Additionally, offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr. highlighted Mafe's consistent competitiveness and intelligent play since joining the squad.
