Penn State’s recruiting efforts gained momentum during Saturday’s White Out game against USC, with several high-profile prospects making visits to Beaver Stadium. Four-star edge rusher Cam Toomey, ranked No.
44 and the ninth-best edge rusher in the 2028 class, shared a positive experience during his seventh visit to the program. Toomey, a top target for the Nittany Lions, faces stiff competition from power conference rivals like Ohio State, Alabama, and Notre Dame, but his connection with Penn State’s coaching staff appears to be growing stronger with each visit.
Meanwhile, the program also extended offers to two additional standout recruits: Zayden Williams, a four-star Tennessee cornerback ranked No. 23 in his class, and Jerrimiah Cross, a three-star Michigan wide receiver.
Williams, who attended the White Out game, has offers from SEC schools like Auburn and Georgia, while Cross adds another piece to Penn State’s push in the Midwest. The program also welcomed four-star cornerback Jalen Wallace, a 2029 prospect from the DMV, for a visit, further solidifying its presence in a key recruiting region.
