Deion Sanders Jr., the YouTuber known as Bucky, has publicly voiced the frustration of Colorado football fans following the Buffaloes' dismal start to the 2026 season. In a recent video, Sanders Jr.
expressed exhaustion with the team’s recent struggles, including a 29-7 loss to Texas Tech on October 3, marking Colorado’s third consecutive defeat and dropping them to 2-3. The game was particularly painful, as Colorado outgained Texas Tech 375-315 yards but failed to capitalize, committing eight penalties and missing key field goals and a fake punt.
Quarterback Isaac Wilson threw three interceptions, while receiver Joseph Williams added another on a botched trick play, with Texas Tech capitalizing on four turnovers for 19 points, including a pick-six by linebacker John Curry. The team’s performance stands in stark contrast to their 9-4 record in 2024, a season that included Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, who was selected second overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Sanders Jr. has previously tied his own job prospects to the team’s success, noting in a June vlog that recruiting efforts hinge on winning games.
With head coach Deion Sanders’ five-year, $54 million contract on the line, the pressure is mounting as the program grapples with roster depth and quarterback uncertainty following a 3-9 finish in 2025.
