Grand Tour specialist Ben O'Connor has agreed to a two-year contract that will bring him back to Decathlon CMA CGM for the 2027 season following a two-year spell with Jayco AlUla. The thirty-year-old previously spent four seasons representing Decathlon between 2021 and 2024, during which time he secured stage victories at both the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana, alongside a runner-up finish in the general classification at the Spanish grand tour.
Although his tenure with Jayco AlUla yielded an additional Tour de France stage win, he has decided to rejoin his former squad where he achieved some of his most notable career milestones.
Upon returning to the French outfit, the Australian cyclist will team up with young general classification talent Paul Seixas while retaining opportunities to target results for himself as a primary leader on the roster. The squad officially confirmed the transaction through social media channels, welcoming the rider back to the organization.
