The Chicago Bears activated linebacker Noah Sewell from the reserve/PUP list ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Sewell, a fifth-round pick in 2023, has logged 35 career games with the team, including nine starts, and posted a career-high 54 tackles last season before suffering a torn Achilles in late December.
His return adds depth to a Bears defense that has already dealt with injuries to defensive back Kyler Gordon (calf) and defensive lineman Shemar Turner (knee), both of whom remain in their 21-day return-to-practice windows.
The Bears also elevated running back Zavier Scott from the practice squad to the active roster. Scott, an undrafted free agent who spent last season with the Minnesota Vikings, appeared in 16 games and contributed as both a runner and receiver, totaling 114 rushing yards and 98 receiving yards.
His addition provides Chicago with additional flexibility in the backfield for the Packers game.
