BCCI issues clarification, says Delhi ODI between India and Sri Lanka not shifted to Ahmedabad

The BCCI has officially dismissed speculation that the opening ODI between India and Sri Lanka will be moved from New Delhi to Ahmedabad. Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the match remains set for December 13 at the capital's stadium, noting that bilateral fixture locations follow established board policies.

Concerns regarding the venue have persisted due to historical air quality issues in the city during winter months, which previously impacted player health and training schedules. Ahmedabad is currently designated to host the final match of the three-game series on December 19.
