Baxter wants reaction after heavy Gloucester loss

Exeter boss Baxter is eager for a strong response following a severe defeat against Gloucester. Preparations were heavily disrupted when a sickness bug raced through the squad, forcing several athletes out of contention before kickoff.

That wave of illness compounded existing roster challenges, including international absences such as Tom Hooper, Andrea Zambonin, and Nika Abuladze. Baxter noted that several competitors on the pitch appeared to be battling the same sickness during the match.

However, reinforcements may soon arrive as Hooper nears his return and injured internationals like Zambonin, Abuladze, Paul Brown-Bampoe, and Bachuki Tchumbadze work their way back toward full fitness.
