Austin Romaine Pulls Off The Nearly Impossible For Texas Tech

Texas Tech linebacker Austin Romaine delivered a historic defensive performance during a 49-14 victory over Sam Houston. Romaine intercepted opposing quarterbacks on back-to-back defensive snaps, returning both for touchdowns to turn a narrow 7-0 lead into a 21-0 advantage.

His rare feat earned him Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors, with coach Joey McGuire praising his pre-game mindset. Romaine finished the contest with eight tackles while helping the Red Raiders improve their record to 4-0.
