
Indian track and field competitors secured multiple silver and bronze medals on a rainy Monday at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Yashvir Singh threw 85.72 meters to capture silver in the men's javelin event, while Rohit Yadav earned bronze with an 84.35-meter effort, trailing Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage who triumphed with 88.55 meters.
Murali Sreeshankar added a silver in the long jump by leaping 8.07 meters before withdrawing after twisting his ankle on the wet takeoff board. Gulveer Singh also claimed a silver medal in the 1500 meters, finishing right behind Japan's Kazuto Iizawa.
