First cousins Manu Francis and Prince Kurisinkal Noble secured a silver medal in the men's skiff sailing competition during their debut appearance at the Asian Games held in Japan. Competing across a nine-race series, the Army duo finished behind the Chinese representatives after navigating difficult environmental hurdles that included rainfall, shifting winds, and typhoon alerts.
Coach Sandeep Jain praised their resilience under pressure throughout the regatta, which marked a major milestone following a rigorous preparation period that featured training camps in Europe. Francis and Noble first teamed up in the 49er class back in 2017 after childhood beginnings in Kochi, leveraging their lifelong bond to overcome communication barriers on the water.
