Asian Games 2026: Sri Lanka advance to men's cricket semis as rain washes out quarterfinal against Nepal

Heavy rain at Korogi Sports Park caused the abandonment of the Asian Games quarterfinal fixture between Sri Lanka and Nepal without a single ball being bowled. Consequently, ninth-ranked Sri Lanka advanced to the semifinal phase on the basis of their superior ICC T20I standing over fourteenth-ranked Nepal, who were knocked out of the competition.

Sri Lanka is scheduled to clash with India in the upcoming semifinal match.
