Aryna Sabalenka swept out of China Open in straight-sets defeat by Nikola Bartunkova

The Beijing tournament suffered a double blow as its highest-ranked competitors exited early. Czech competitor Nikola Bartunkova defeated her higher-seeded rival in straight sets during Sunday action at the China Open.

The unseeded winner capitalized on her opponent's mistakes to secure a straight-sets victory, sealing the outcome in under two hours. With the tournament's leading two competitors now eliminated, Bartunkova advances to the next round to meet Sinja Kraus.
