Gerrard has 'nothing but respect' for McInnes - gossip

Former manager Steven Gerrard recently expressed his admiration for Derek McInnes, hoping the club achieves sustained success under his leadership. Meanwhile, analyst Charlie Adam pointed to the midfield pairing of Dan Neil and Nico Raskin as key components for an upcoming championship challenge.

In squad updates, attacker Lawrence Shankland continues rehabilitation for a hamstring issue ahead of an anticipated comeback in January. Gerrard also reflected on why he previously selected James Tavernier to wear the armband for his attacking contributions rather than vocal leadership.

Elsewhere, manager Stephen Robinson praised several standout players following a comfortable victory on the road. Finally, St Johnstone management is evaluating available central defenders following a long-term injury to Zach Mitchell.
