Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese has established a new league benchmark by recording three straight double-doubles to open the 2026 WNBA Finals against the Golden State Valkyries. Following a 97-71 victory in Game 3, the Dream now hold a 2-1 series advantage.
Reese, who is also the current Defensive Player of the Year, has contributed averages of 21.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals across the three contests. Her individual stat lines included 14 points and 12 rebounds in the opener, 30 points and 16 rebounds in the second game, and 21 points with 12 rebounds in the most recent outing.
By achieving this level of production, she has become the youngest player to ever post three consecutive double-doubles in the championship round, surpassing the previous record held by A'ja Wilson. While teammates Alisha Grey and Rhyne Howard have provided consistent support, Reese remains the primary catalyst for Atlanta's pursuit of a title.
