Outfielder JJ Bleday is focused on maintaining better mechanics over a full Major League Baseball schedule following a rollercoaster 2026 campaign with Cincinnati. After missing out on an Opening Day roster spot and starting the year in Triple-A, the left-handed hitter earned a late April promotion and immediately exploded with a stellar May performance that earned him National League Player of the Month honors.
Although he faded significantly after June 1 and finished the season batting .217 with a .740 OPS, Bleday set a personal best with 24 home runs and drove in 58 runs across 133 contests while locking down a regular role primarily in left field. As he prepares for the upcoming season, the soon-to-be 29-year-old is working hard during the winter months to solve the fatigue and timing issues that disrupted his swing mechanics.
