Aaron Donald says he plans to make 2026 debut in Rams' MNF game vs. Giants

Aaron Donald intends to take the field for the Los Angeles Rams in their Week 2 Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants. The three-time AP Defensive Player of the Year and eight-time All-Pro defensive lineman announced his intentions following Friday practice, noting that making his season debut in the team's home opener remains his target.

Donald, who ended a two-year retirement back in August, has been given the flexibility by head coach Sean McVay and the organization to ramp up at his own pace.

The potential defensive boost comes after Los Angeles stumbled during an opening-week trip to Australia. Meanwhile, the Rams dealt with other roster concerns during preparations, as wide receiver Puka Nacua missed practice because of an injured hip, while the defensive unit continues adapting to the absence of Myles Garrett.
