Ex-Michigan interim HC Biff Poggi reveals how close he came to landing job

Biff Poggi recently disclosed that he was a primary candidate for the Michigan head coaching vacancy, engaging in four interviews before the university ultimately selected Kyle Whittingham. Despite feeling confident in his prospects and noting strong support from the team, Poggi expressed that he has since moved on to fully backing the current leadership to maintain program stability.

Under Whittingham, the Wolverines have posted a 5-3 record, with all three losses occurring by a margin of seven points or fewer.
