Oklahoma City secured a 116-104 victory over San Antonio on Tuesday, marking a rematch of the Western Conference finals. Rookie Aday Mara, a 7-foot-3 former Michigan player drafted 12th overall, made an impressive debut.

He contributed seven points, two rebounds, and a block in 12 minutes of play, including a sequence where he blocked Victor Wembanyama and then scored on an alley-oop.

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault praised Mara's poise and impact, noting that the team's trust in the rookie will grow. The trio of Mara, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Chet Holmgren worked to limit Wembanyama, who had previously dominated the Thunder in the conference finals with averages of 27.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game.

Mara received a game ball for his performance at the Frost Bank Center.
