Fortunately for the organization, medical evaluations determined that injured reserve was unnecessary, allowing him to avoid a mandatory four-game absence.

The star pass rusher will certainly miss this weekend's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. This setback adds to a growing list of roster concerns for the defensive line, which has already lost multiple players to long-term injuries during the early stages of the schedule.
