During Week 7 action between the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans, the Titans grabbed an early fourteen to nothing advantage before a reversed video review wiped out a touchdown run by Tony Pollard. Cleveland shifted momentum prior to intermission by claiming a seventeen to fourteen lead, aided by an interception from cornerback Denzel Ward and a defensive stand.
On the initial offensive series of the third quarter, right tackle Tytus Howard suffered an injury while pushing past midfield and required assistance leaving the turf.
Dawand Jones stepped in to take over the right tackle duties for the remainder of that drive after Howard headed to the sideline medical tent and was subsequently observed walking toward the locker rooms. The team has not yet issued an official update regarding the severity of Howard's physical setback.
Jones, a former fourth-round selection in the 2023 draft, has seen each of his professional campaigns conclude prematurely due to health issues.
