The PGA Tour Champions playoffs for the 2026 Charles Schwab Cup are set to unfold across three high-stakes tournaments, with a new event replacing the Dominion Energy Classic. The top 72 players in the Schwab points standings will kick off the postseason at the Stifel Charity Classic in St.
Louis, Missouri, from October 23–25. After this event, only the leading 54 golfers will advance to the Simmons Bank Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas, from October 30–November 1.
The season will conclude with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club from November 12–15, featuring the top 36 players in a 72-hole stroke-play format—the only non-major tournament on the circuit to span four rounds. The 2025 champion Stewart Cink is among the favorites, having uniquely won both the season-long Charles Schwab Cup and the final playoff event last year.
Meanwhile, defending champions like Thomas Bjorn (Stifel Charity Classic) and Steven Alker (Simmons Bank Championship) will look to repeat, with winner’s shares ranging from $315,000 to $528,000 across the tournaments.
