The Kansas City franchise has secured a pair of monthly league honors following a productive opening stretch to the campaign. Running back Kenneth Walker captured the AFC Offensive Player of the Month designation, while left tackle Kahlil Benson collected the offensive rookie equivalent for the league.
This marks the first time since late 2022 that an offensive player from the squad claimed the monthly conference award, a feat previously achieved by Jerick McKinnon and Patrick Mahomes. Additionally, Benson is the first rookie from the club to secure his respective monthly accolade since Kareem Hunt accomplished the feat back in 2017.
