1st ODI: Virat, Shubman centuries power India to 8-wicket win over West Indies

India secured a comfortable eight-wicket victory against the West Indies after successfully hunting down a target of 295 runs. Virat Kohli notched up his 55th century in the format, while teammate Shubman Gill added another hundred to anchor the run chase.

Bowler Kuldeep Yadav played a crucial role by picking up four dismissals to limit the opposition. For the visiting side, Justin Greaves managed his first-ever hundred in international one-day matches, though the milestone proved not enough to alter the outcome.

The encounter took place in Thiruvananthapuram, highlighting the home team's strength in the 50-over format.
