‘WNBA is insane’ say fans after ‘stupid’ decision made by the league for the playoffs

The post-season schedule for women's professional basketball has drawn heavy criticism from supporters. Observers took to social media to express frustration regarding the league's choice to launch playoff matchups on the same afternoon as professional football games and the conclusion of the baseball regular season.

On-court action opened with the New York Liberty defeating the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx, while the Las Vegas Aces secured a victory over the Indiana Fever.

Action shifts forward to upcoming mid-week contests as the Fever meet the Aces and the Lynx clash with the Liberty for their second games. The championship series is currently mapped to commence on October seventeenth, with a potential decisive final contest stretching until Halloween.
