Andy Roddick has defended Jannik Sinner for keeping his medical history private following his early conclusion to the 2026 season. While some have drawn comparisons to Emma Navarro, who recently disclosed her struggles with Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and RED-S, Roddick argued that athletes are not obligated to share personal health details with the public.
Sinner last played at Wimbledon in July and subsequently withdrew from several tournaments, including the Canadian Open, Cincinnati, the US Open, the China Open, and the Shanghai Masters, before officially ending his campaign on October 6.
