'We are enough for each other': Shaw, Akriti reunite after calling off engagement

Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw and actor-influencer Akriti Agarwal have rekindled their relationship after ending their engagement in September. Agarwal shared an Instagram post acknowledging that external opinions influenced her decision to call off the engagement, revealing that she and Shaw had since engaged in open conversations to better understand each other.

The couple, who announced their engagement in March 2026, have chosen to move forward together, emphasizing their mutual support without external validation. Agarwal expressed regret for the pain caused by her earlier decision and urged respect for their private choice.

Off the field, Shaw continues to focus on his cricket career, aiming to regain form after injuries and inconsistent performances sidelined him from the national team. The 26-year-old batsman, who rose to prominence by captaining India to the Under-19 World Cup in 2018 and scoring a century on his Test debut later that year, relocated from Mumbai to Maharashtra ahead of the 2025-26 domestic season.

He has shown promise in recent matches, including a 70-ball 70 for Maharashtra against Services in New Delhi on Sunday, signaling a potential resurgence in his batting.
