Golf legend Tiger Woods is reportedly preparing for a competitive comeback following an extended absence due to a series of physical ailments and a legal matter. According to former teammate Kevin Kisner, Woods intends to participate in a full slate of matches for Jupiter Links during the upcoming 2027 season and potentially pursue appearances at Augusta National and other events.
Kisner revealed that he learned of these plans through a message from Rob McNamara, noting that team roster adjustments were made to accommodate Woods' desire for increased playing time. Woods has not competed in a standard PGA Tour contest since the Open Championship held in 2024, having dealt with a torn Achilles tendon, back surgery, and a subsequent guilty plea for reckless driving resulting from a 2026 vehicle incident.
