Tyrrell Hatton has confirmed his departure from the LIV Golf 2.0 circuit, joining a growing exodus of high-profile players ahead of the league's upcoming commitment deadline. The 35-year-old golfer, who currently holds the 26th spot in the world rankings, announced his exit via social media shortly after Ian Poulter made a similar declaration.
This move follows a string of departures including Jon Rahm, Louis Oosthuizen, Thomas Pieters, Charles Howell III, David Puig, and Abraham Ancer. The league, which is navigating bankruptcy proceedings, faces a Sunday deadline to secure enough player commitments to maintain its $300 million investment from BC Partners Credit.
Hatton, who achieved a career-best finish of tied-third at the Masters last season, indicated his next appearance will be at the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship in November. This tournament serves as the penultimate event of the DP World Tour season, which has recently restricted LIV participants from competing in its events.
