'The year where someone who's primarily a gravel racer would win – Maddy Nutt representing the specialists at the World Championships

British ultra-distance specialist Maddy Nutt is currently traveling to Western Australia for the upcoming UCI Gravel World Championships. Earlier this season, Nutt secured impressive finishes across grueling endurance events, including the Traka 560 and the Unbound XL.

Because the upcoming global championship race spans a much shorter distance than her recent ultra-endurance victories, Nutt adjusted her training to develop higher-end intensity. She has competed in every edition of the gravel world championships since its inaugural event in Veneto back in 2022.
