Magnus Sheffield will transition from Netcompany Ineos to Uno-X Mobility after five seasons with the British team, signing a four-year deal that extends through 2030. The Norwegian team, which has historically fielded only riders from Norway and Denmark, welcomed Sheffield as a dual US-Norwegian citizen, citing his potential and cultural fit.
Sheffield, a proven stage racer with podiums in the Tour of Norway and Tour of Denmark, as well as a fourth-place finish in Paris-Nice and a stage win in the same race, will join a squad that includes incoming talents Casper Pedersen, Felix Ørn-Kristoff, and Kristian Egholm for the 2027 campaign. His strong time-trialing and climbing abilities, along with his experience in the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España, mark him as a key addition to Uno-X Mobility’s ambitions to develop him into a leading rider in the sport.
Team General Manager Thor Hushovd emphasized Sheffield’s adaptability, noting his Norwegian heritage and bilingual fluency as assets to the team’s identity and cohesion. The move also coincides with the departures of Sheffield’s US teammates AJ August and Artem Shmidt from Netcompany Ineos, though the British team has yet to announce further signings beyond double junior world champion Benjamin Noval.
