The WNBA has officially moved the sixth game of the championship series between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries to 12:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 29.
The decision follows a scheduling conflict at the Atlanta venue, forcing the league to finalize the time shortly before the fifth game held at the Chase Center. While the league coordinated with the NBA and the teams to secure a slot, the midday start has drawn significant criticism from analysts regarding the optics of crowning a champion during a weekday afternoon.
Alternative proposals had included shifting the remaining schedule to early November to avoid the conflict.
