NBA legend Joe Johnson has compared the Atlanta Dream's Angel Reese to Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, noting that both athletes possess a confidence that they support with high-level performance. Reese, who earned the Defensive Player of the Year award this season, has experienced a significant career shift since moving from the Chicago Sky to Atlanta.

During her first WNBA playoffs, she has averaged 10.3 rebounds and 19.4 points per game while shooting 48.1% from the field.

The Dream are currently two victories away from their first franchise title, facing the Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA Finals. The series opener saw a record-breaking 2.1 million viewers on Peacock and NBC.
