NFL suspends 49ers owner Jed York six games, fines him $500,000 after Ohio arrest

The National Football League handed down a half-dozen game suspension and a half-million dollar fine to the principal head of the San Francisco franchise following an arrest in Ohio late this summer. The executive issued a public statement expressing deep remorse and taking full responsibility for the misdemeanor counts he faced, while three games already served while away from the club will count toward fulfilling the league mandated penalty.
