Ezra Caudell has provided a personal update following a severe collision at the Philadelphia Cycling Classic in August. The 20-year-old athlete spent 31 days hospitalized after striking a light pole, an incident that also involved cyclist Milan Menten.
Caudell suffered extensive trauma, including lung damage requiring ECMO treatment, a brain injury, spinal fractures, and various other broken bones. He has since been discharged from the hospital and is currently undergoing outpatient rehabilitation.
Despite the severity of his injuries, which left him with no memory of the event, he remains focused on his recovery process. His professional season had previously included appearances at major events such as Paris-Roubaix and the UAE Tour.
