The Atlanta Dream have secured a prime setting for their first WNBA Finals appearance since 2013 by relocating Games 3 and 4 to State Farm Arena, a downtown Atlanta venue with a capacity of 17,000. Originally scheduled for October 22, Game 3 has been moved to October 21 due to a concert conflict, while Game 4 will now begin at 1 p.m.
EST. The adjustments also impact the Atlanta Hawks, whose home opener has been pushed back by 30 minutes to accommodate the Dream’s playoff games.
Despite the franchise’s usual home at Gateway Center Arena—a 3,500-seat facility—they’ve increasingly utilized State Farm Arena for high-profile matchups, including five sellouts this season and all playoff games to date, drawing 9,745 fans for the semifinals. The move underscores the Dream’s push to maximize attendance and atmosphere for their historic finals run against the Golden State Valkyries, though the venue for a potential Game 6 remains undetermined.
