'Lacks Common Sense': Ashwin Questions Kuldeep's Omission

Veteran spinner R Ashwin has publicly criticized the decision to bench wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav for recent matches against the West Indies, stating the move lacked logical reasoning given how visiting batters struggle against his variations. Kuldeep featured in the opening two fixtures of the current five-match bilateral contest, capturing two wickets for thirty-three runs in the initial game before being omitted for subsequent encounters in Indore and Hyderabad.

Ashwin argued that the bowler's exclusion negatively impacted the squad's performance during tight moments, while noting that the series remains deadlocked at two victories apiece ahead of the final showdown in Bengaluru. The visiting side previously posted a massive total of 247 for three in the fourth fixture at Hyderabad to secure a twenty-four run triumph after bowling out their opponents for 223.
