'Knocked Out My Teeth': Nelly Korda Recalls Serious Mouth Injury After Club-Slam Mishap

Nelly Korda recently shared an anecdote about a painful mishap early in her professional career. While attempting to vent frustration by slamming her club into the turf, the equipment bounced back and struck her in the face, causing a bloody lip and fears of dental damage.

Her caddie, Jason McDede, witnessed the incident and later admitted he was terrified to laugh for fear of losing his job. The two have maintained a close professional and personal relationship since he began working for her in 2018, even navigating the awkwardness of Korda defeating his wife, Caroline Masson, in a 2019 playoff.
