England manager Thomas Tuchel has defended his decision to omit Chelsea playmaker Cole Palmer from the upcoming international roster, clarifying that the choice is entirely professional rather than personal. Although medical evaluations confirmed that Palmer is fully fit to play, the national team boss opted to reward the athletes who maintained availability and delivered strong performances during the previous gathering in September.
Tuchel noted that Palmer has struggled with fitness concerns and withdrawals on multiple occasions during his tenure. Consequently, attacking midfielders such as Jude Bellingham, Morgan Gibbs-White, Eberechi Eze, and Morgan Rogers have retained their spots alongside teenager Josh King for the matches against Croatia and Spain.
