Kuldeep Yadav picked up four wickets on his return to the ODI format as India secured an eight-wicket victory over the West Indies. After the visiting side posted a total of 295 runs for the loss of seven wickets within their fifty overs, the hosts successfully overtook the target by reaching 300 runs in 41.4 overs.
Kuldeep delivered ten overs that featured a single maiden during the day-night encounter, dismissing John Campbell, Shai Hope, Justin Greaves, and Jewel Andrew. Following his four-wicket haul, the left-arm spinner was handed the Player of the Match accolade.
However, he admitted feeling slightly strange about accepting the honor given the remarkable offensive performance delivered by Virat Kohli, who notched an unbeaten 139 runs off 88 deliveries to guide the run chase.
