‘Is this political?’ – Enes Kanter demands meeting with Adam Silver over WNBA

Enes Kanter Freedom escalated his dispute with the WNBA by demanding a sit‑down with NBA commissioner Adam Silver, saying he wants answers about the league’s political direction and financial backing. After a tongue‑in‑cheek claim that he would enter the WNBA draft, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert declared him ineligible, ending that stunt.

Kanter attended Game 3 of the WNBA Finals in Atlanta, where arena security attempted to move him to a private suite for safety. He refused, insisting on the floor seats he had purchased, and police ultimately escorted him out when he would not comply.

On the Sage Steele Show, he reiterated his request for a meeting with Silver to discuss the league’s mindset ahead of the midterm elections.
