Exeter director Rob Baxter has expressed admiration for the positive development shown by young forward Kane James at the start of the current campaign. The twenty-one-year-old athlete, who earned his debut cap for Wales during a July fixture in Argentina, has featured from the opening whistle in both of the club's Prem matches so far.
Baxter noted that the former England under-twenty representative has added significant muscle mass through diligent training and proper nutrition, helping him absorb tackles with his characteristic speed and explosive movement. While deploying the versatile player primarily as an open-side flanker rather than his usual number eight position due to squad needs in the scrum, Baxter emphasized that numerical designations matter less than utilizing individual strengths across the pitch.
